Buy IBC containers for liquid storage and transport

An IBC container, also called an IBC tank or intermediate bulk container, consists of a 1,000-litre plastic inner bottle enclosed in a steel cage mounted on a pallet. IBC stands for Intermediate Bulk Container. You can move these containers with a forklift or pallet truck and stack them to make better use of storage space.

All our IBC containers have the same external dimensions of 1200 x 1000 x 1160 mm, matching the footprint of an industrial pallet. Each container holds 1,000 litres and weighs 58 kg empty. A separate IBC cage without the inner bottle weighs 25 kg. The containers are stackable, making them suitable for warehouse storage and transport.

We do not supply smaller IBC containers with capacities of 300, 600 or 800 litres. If you need to store smaller quantities of liquid, plastic or steel drums with capacities from 30 to 200 litres are a more suitable option.

Choose the right inner bottle for your liquid

The steel cage and pallet provide support, but the condition of the inner bottle determines how the container can be used. We offer four quality grades, from new to more economical options.

A new IBC with UN approval has a new steel cage and a new inner bottle. It is suitable for food products. A refurbished IBC with UN approval combines a used cage with a new inner bottle. It is also suitable for food products and costs less than a completely new container because the cage has already been used.

A rinsed IBC, classified as A-grade, is a used container whose inner bottle has been cleaned. It is not suitable for food products but can be used for other liquids in industry, logistics and agriculture. An unrinsed IBC previously contained soap and has not been cleaned. This is the most economical complete IBC, but it is not suitable for food products.

We also offer separate IBC cages without inner bottles. These are in as-new condition and can be used to replace a damaged cage or as a sturdy storage frame. They are not suitable for food products.

If your liquid will come into contact with food, choose a new or refurbished IBC. Both versions have UN approval, which is required when transporting dangerous goods. Always check whether the specific container is approved for the substance you intend to transport.

Choose the pallet lid and outlet connection

Each IBC quality grade is available with a wooden, plastic or steel pallet. A wooden pallet is the most affordable choice. Plastic and steel pallets cost slightly more and are intended for intensive use. With a steel pallet, the IBC contains no wooden components.

For every IBC with an inner bottle, you can choose a lid with a diameter of 150 or 225 mm and an outlet cap in size 2 or 3. Check which connection fits your tap, valve or pump before ordering. If you need a black IBC or are unsure about the outlet connection, contact us for advice.

IBC containers are designed for liquids. For granules, powders or other dry bulk materials, a plastic pallet box is more practical because you can fill and empty it from above.

Ordering and shipping

Order an in-stock IBC container on a working day before 5 pm Dutch time and we will dispatch it the following day. We deliver to 13 European countries, including the UK and Ireland. All prices exclude VAT.

Shipping costs are calculated per pallet space. Two stacked IBC containers can be shipped for the same transport rate, helping you reduce the shipping cost per unit when ordering multiple containers.

If you need a larger quantity or are unsure which quality grade is suitable, request a no-obligation quote. We respond within 30 minutes during office hours. Business customers can also arrange payment on account.
