Collection: Used pallet cage

A used pallet cage, also known as a stillage or mesh pallet, is a steel cage that has already seen service. You move it with a forklift or pallet truck, see the contents through the mesh and stack it fully loaded on another cage. The paint has taken a few knocks, but the dimensions, load capacity and stacking load are the same as on a new one. For storage or internal transport that makes it a sensible choice, as you pay noticeably less. If the cages will be on show to customers, a new one is the better fit.

Before a used cage goes on sale, we check the parts that decide whether it can still be stacked and lifted safely: the flap hinges, the base and the stacking rims. Only cages that pass go into our range. Because we buy in used storage equipment, stock changes. The product page shows what is available right now.

What you will see is chipped paint, scratches and other marks from earlier use. For indoor storage that rarely matters. If the cages often stand outside, a galvanised finish protects the steel better against rust. Our wiki on galvanised pallet cages explains the difference.

The euro format measures 1240 x 835 x 970 mm externally and 1220 x 790 x 800 mm internally, giving 750 litres. A cage like this carries 1,000 kg and takes up to 3,000 kg stacked on top.

The drop-down flap on the long side gives access to the contents while the cages are stacked, and the wooden base with steel profile supports the load. The mesh is 50 x 50 mm, so small parts or loose bulk goods are better kept in a plastic pallet box with solid walls.
