Collection: Stacking racks and stanchions

At Leka Trading, we supply new hot-dip galvanised stacking racks and separate stanchions for storing pipes, timber, steel and scaffolding materials. Most racks are available from our stock in Bladel, with lower unit prices for larger quantities. If you're unsure which racks and stanchions fit together, read our advice below or contact us.

Buy stacking racks for long and heavy materials

A stacking rack, also known as a stackable storage rack or manurack, is a steel frame with four sockets for removable upright stanchions. Long or heavy materials such as pipes, steel profiles, timber, sheet materials and scaffolding tubes can be stored between the uprights.

You can move the rack with a forklift and stack loaded racks on top of one another. This allows you to use the available storage height without installing fixed racking. Our stacking racks are new and hot-dip galvanised, making them suitable for indoor and outdoor storage. Used stanchions are also available.

Some racks are offered with quantity discounts. The price brackets are 1 to 9 units, 10 to 17 units and 18 units or more. The price per rack decreases with each bracket, which is worth considering when planning a larger storage area.

Match the stanchion system before choosing a rack

Not every stanchion fits every rack. The diameter and mounting system must match, and stanchions are not included with most racks. Check this before ordering a complete storage setup.

  • Manuracks with 60.3 mm stanchions are designed for larger loads such as pipes, steel profiles and timber. The available stanchion lengths are 1050, 1200, 1500, 1680 and 2000 mm. The shortest version is also available used.
  • Scaffolding pallet racks with 48.3 mm stanchions are smaller and intended for scaffolding materials and shorter pipes. These stanchions are available in lengths of 1000 and 1500 mm.
  • Racks with fixed stanchions and lifting eyes already have 48.3 mm uprights installed. The lifting eyes allow the rack to be moved using a crane.

The stanchion length determines the available loading height. For fully loaded racks, a top connecting bar keeps the uprights in position. Check the compatibility information for each bar before ordering.

Choose dimensions and load capacity for your materials

Start with the length of the materials you need to store, followed by their total weight. Manuracks provide internal space between the uprights of 1300 x 930 mm, 1680 x 1200 mm or 1770 x 930 mm.

For particularly long materials, racks are available with 2760 x 1035 mm or 3430 x 1200 mm between the uprights. Both versions have forklift pockets for handling. Smaller scaffolding pallet racks have internal dimensions of 1100 x 630 mm or 1190 x 800 mm.

The smaller racks have a load capacity of 1,500 kg, while the wider and extra-long versions support 1,000 kg. Empty weights range from approximately 30 kg to 82 kg for the longest rack. Depending on the version, racks have forklift guides or an open grid frame.

For short or loose materials, a steel pallet cage may be more suitable. Small components can be stored in steel storage bins instead of on an open rack.

Ordering and shipping

Order an in-stock rack on a working day before 5 pm Dutch time and we will dispatch it the following day. We deliver to 13 European countries, including the UK and Ireland. All prices exclude VAT.

Shipping costs are calculated per pallet space. Up to 18 empty racks can be shipped at the same rate, or 8 racks with fixed stanchions. Separate stanchions can be shipped in quantities of up to 400 for one shipping rate. Larger orders can therefore reduce both the unit price and the transport cost per item.

Request a quote or trade in old racks

If you need a complete set of racks and stanchions, request a no-obligation quote. We respond within 30 minutes during office hours, and business customers can arrange to pay on account.

If you have old or surplus racks and stanchions, you can sell or trade them in through our storage and transport equipment purchasing service.
